(ATLANTA) Governor Nathan Deal, in cooperation with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security (GEMA), the National Weather Service (NWS) and Georgias local emergency management agencies has proclaimed the week of Feb. 6-10, 2012, as Severe Weather Awareness Week in Georgia. Georgians should take time throughout the week to prepare for unexpected events, practice emergency response procedures for all types of severe weather, and learn more about those threats. More »
