Best Practices for State Employees

Interacting with persons with disabilities can sometimes be a challenge, especially for individuals not familiar with the disability. To assist state workers with providing excellent customer service to all customers, the State ADA Coordinator’s Office has published “Best Practices when Interacting with Persons with Disabilities.”
The publication provides guidance to State of Georgia employees in effectively interacting and assisting individuals with varying disabilities.
The booklet not only highlights best practices when assisting individuals with disabilities, but also serves as a reminder to all State employees that the state is dedicated to customer service that is fast, friendly, easy and dignified.
The new guide is a must read for all front line team members and supervisors. It can be downloaded from our publications page. For additional information and to request printed copies of the brochure, contact the State ADA Coordinator’s Office at 404.657.7313 or [email protected].
